It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene L. LaCosse of Ironwood, Michigan, born in Negaunee, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene LaCosse and Sylvia LaCosse (Saari); and his siblings, Robert LaCosse and Ilena "Kathy" Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Karen J. Sampson; his children, Nicole Lavinder (Dan), Chris LaCosse (Renee), Mike Roberts, Rich Roberts (Lisa), Lori Roberts and Toni Hudson; and his brother Stanley LaCosse. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; five great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ironwood High School Athletic Fund or the Ironwood Booster Club, in care of Ironwood Area Schools, 650 E. Ayer St., Ironwood, MI 49938.
