Elvie Vivian Strand Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elvie Vivian Strand of Ironwood, Michigan, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Makela and Vivian Makela; her siblings, Verner, Nels, Wayne Makela, Nellie and Aura; her niece Eileen Doucette; her parents-in-law, Erick and Lempi Strand; and her siblings-in-law, Sylvia Makela, Helia Johnson, Nick, Eleanor Heikkila, Robert, Marge Strand, Eva, David Johnson, Bill Champion and Jean Ryan (Champion).
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda (Michael Tilley) and Arlove (Dan Peterson); her stepgranddaughter Jessica Lind (David); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jack and Elizabeth Lind of Wausau, Wisconsin; and her friend Marilyn Ercoli. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
