It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eila Kivi-Thomas (Ironwood, Michigan), who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kaino Reinikainen and Aina Reinikainen (Kangas); her husband Dick; and her former husband Jim Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Greg (Gail), Pam Moderson (Gene) and Karen Eastwood (Mike); her grandchildren, Cory Moderson (Mae), Ryan Moderson (Lauren), Eric Kivi (Rachel), Jeff Kivi (Tony) and Jamie Fredrickson (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Gavin Moderson, Mara, Molly Moderson and Myra Kivi. She is also survived by Brother-in-law Ray Eden, Oregon and many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a celebration of life will be held at a future date at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ironwood.
Even as her Alzheimer's progressed, she continued to talk about her faith and God.
