Whitaker; his daughter Tonya Dekoekkoek (Larry) of Irons; his grandchildren, Josh Dekoekkoek of Irons, Dorothy Dykhouse (Cory) of McBain, Laura Melkus (Jason) of West Branch and Ann Falkenhagen (Rob) of Gaylord; his great grandchildren, Desi, Rebecca, Jayden, Shyanne, Zak, Sabrina and Bradley; his brother Clifton Whitaker (Diana) of Scottville; and his brother-in-law John Cox of Hartford, AL..
