He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli and Thema Heikkila, Sr. (Tucker); and his sister Ruby Mae Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Kernohan; his stepsons, Murl Spence III of Iron River, MI and Travis Spence of Iron River, MI; his stepgranddaughters, Samantha and Hailey Spence; and his brother Eli Heikkila Jr. of Iron River, MI. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
