He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mastie and Sophia Mastie (Philipkowski); his son Robert Mastie; and his siblings, Henry, John "Pug", Frank, Joseph Mastie, Della Bemis and Bernice Brunelli.
He is survived by: his former wife Jeanette Hookenson; his wife Jan; his daughters, Geralyn Mastie of Iron River, MI and Cynthia Couchene (James Duncan) of Iron River, MI; his daughter-in-law Shelley Mastie of Grand Ledge, MI; his sister Helen Shurtliff of Ann Arbor, MI; his grandchildren, Nicole Minney (Aric), Rachel Wessel (Brandon), Lindsay Pelette (Mike) and Melissa Allen (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Theodore, Lucille Minney, Charlotte Wessel, Abigail, Lucas Allen, Nathan and Emily Pelette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
