He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Benson and Betty Benson (Lindeman); his son Tommy Benson; his siblings, Chester Benson, Norman, Jean Lindbeck and Mona Sarder; and his siblings-in-law, Lindy Lindbeck, Don Sarder, Ron Powell, Keith Erickson and Ginny Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Brunamonti; his children, Ted Benson (Patti) of Iron River and Peggy Shamion (Ron) of Iron River; his sisters, Carol Erickson, Avie Powell of Iron River and Anncille Engel (Bob) of Oconto Falls, WI; his grandchildren, Nikki Hebert (DJ), Tommy Whear, Josh Benson (Alicia), Kylee Benson and Tyge Benson (Lisa); and his great grandchildren, Izzy, Emery, Christopher, Kyler, Reese, Tucker, Quinn, Rowan and Teal. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Covenant Church (316 Jasper St, Iron River, MI 49935). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
