He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McCarty and Josephine McCarty (Kennedy); his son Daniel; his grandson Nathan Pollard (Jenny); his sister Betty Ashmore; and his stepson Bruce Spigarelli.
He is survived by: his former wife Miriam "Babe" Kurzweil; his wife Carol Spigarelli (Tousignant); his children, Kathleen Nack (Gary), William Jr. (Susan), Michael (Judy), Patrick (Cecelia), Timothy (Cindy), Thomas (Regina) and Therese Schmitt (Thomas); his stepchildren, Barb Broullire (Ray), Peggy Hansen (Dan), Paul Spigarelli (Linda), Jean Mellon (Rob) and Tad Spigarelli; and his sister Alice Mason. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
