He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schewe and Jesse Schewe (Osborn). He is survived by: his wife Diane Schewe; his children, Ellery Kassin (Brad), Paul Schewe and Clinton Schewe (Mariah); and his grandchildren, John Schewe, Chelsea Schewe, Logan Schewe, Kennedy Cain (Rimick), Karsyn Schewe, Kooper Schewe, Nolen Kassin and Wyatt Kassin. He is also survived by many friends and extended family.
