He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Nelson (Aiyana), Malenda Smith (Michael), Larenda Schuberg (Kyle) and Christina Argall (Matt); his sisters, Susan Higgins (Steve), Joy Skorich (Montee) and Carrie Jo Mellinger; his nieces and nephews, Hillary Naeve (Doug), Hunter Higgins, Adam Nelson (Amy), Ashley Nelson, Blake Skorich and Cory Mellinger (Britney); and his sister-in-law Robyn Nelson.
