With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martin V Waananen (Iron Mountain, Michigan), who passed away on March 19, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kalle Waananen and Vera Waananen (Ruska); his wife Joan; and his son Mark. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Waananen of Eugene, Oregon and Kurt Waananen (Susan) of Sacramento, California; and his wife Elizabeth. He is also survived by her children; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain or any other charity of choice.
