She was predeceased by: her parents, George Powell and Mona Powell. She is survived by: her children, Mark Young (Amy) and Kathryn Carter (Dennis); her grandchildren, Arias, Samantha, Xavier, Ivy and Elliott Mona; her husband James Young; and her siblings, Thomas Powell (Leone) of Traverse City, MI and Mary Silver (Scott) of Silverthorne, CO.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home (901 Carpenter Ave, Iron Mountain, MI 49801).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to causes that Kathryn was passionate about.
