He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Fruik and Pearl Fruik (Paquette); his former wife Joan Fruik; his wife Clara Fruik; and his children, Rosemary Varnadore (Fruik) and James Fruik Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Paul Fruik of Pikeville, Tenn, Charles Fruik of Iron Mountain, Jerry Fruik of Las Vegas, Nev and Daniel Fruik; and his sisters, Sharon Wirkus (Fruik) of Shawano, Wisc and Terri Fruik of Iron Mountain, Mich.. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
