She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schuls and Gladys Schuls; her husband Merle Sweet; her son Arthur Sweet; her siblings, Gloria Schuls and Henry Schuls; her half-brother Vernon Schuls; her stepsister Catherine Hannula; and her close friend Dan Farrell.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Sweet, Vicki (Dan), Patty Blome (Bob), Shawn Sweet (Joyce), Merle Sweet and Jack Sweet (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Daniel Sweet (Lacey), Chris Sweet (Charlotte), Nicole Sweet-Ragan (Stephen), Michael Sweet (Sarah), Sarah Weed (David), David Sweet (Emi), Bob Blome (Erin), Chanda Pena (Nick), Joseph Sweet and Vicki Sweet. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
