He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melva Frey and Roger Frey; his wife Constance Coenen (Connie); his son Derek Koller (Mallory); his grandsons, Jacob and Drake Koller; his siblings, Tammy Sullivan and Kevin Frey; his nephew Ty Sullivan; his brother Larry Frey; his aunts and uncles, George, Audrey Rowell, Hosea Rowell, Peggy Rowell and Fritz Kuhl; his cousin David Rowell; and his parents-in-law, Patricia Coenen and Irvan Coenen. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Don's memory.
