He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his son Steven; his stepchildren, Michael Leghorn (Portia), Timothy Leghorn and Jenniffer Maier (R. J.); and his sister Constance Bisinger. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
