He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Zeigler and Lois Zeigler (Bakeman); and his sister-in-law Carol Zeigler. He is survived by: his wife Joanne of Ionia; his children, Ryan Zeigler (Heather) of Alma, Lynn LaFata (Brian) of Ohio and Jill Chapko of Ionia; his brothers, James Zeigler of Greenville, Steven Zeigler (Saki) of Florida and Kirk Zeigler (Loretta) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Andrew Zeigler, Nicholas Zeigler, Andrea Zeigler and Walker Smith.
