He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman O. Poland and Mary M. Poland (Burbank). He is survived by: his wife Sue Poland of Ionia; his children, Renee Fox (Pete) of Ionia, Heather Sizemore (Carl) of Ionia and Jonathan Poland (Cara) of Alto; his grandchildren, Fiona Sizemore, Sherman Poland and Eleanor Poland; his sister Arlene Naphy of Cullman, AL; and also Romane. He is also survived by siblings and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Association, Heart Association, Faith Hospice, Ionia Community Library and or a tree can be planted in his memory.
