He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law David Wandell; his nephew Mathew Struble; and his father-in-law Lawrence Klein. He is survived by: his parents, Maynard Helmer and Barb Helmer of Ionia; his wife Sandy Helmer (Klein); his siblings, Deb Carpenter (Darryl), Connie Bowne (Jeff), Sue Bowerman (Brian) and Ann Ward (Dennis); and his mother-in-law Rita Klein. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and due to the outstanding care Randy received, donations will be sent to Sparrow Lansing – 5 West.
