He was predeceased by: his mother Gethen Maskin; his stepfather Henry Maskin; his father Augustus Dixon; his sister Valerie Dixon; and his pet Missy.
He is survived by: his former wife Carol Ritchie of Mellenville; his children, Allison Hutchinson (Dave) of Greenville, Sara Moon (Joonho) of Duxbury, Amy Dixon-Hernquist of Las Vegas, Stephanie Dixon of Tampa, Florida and Nicholas Dixon (Liz Zigmont) of Boston, Massachusetts; and his grandchildren, Derek Hutchinson, Ben Hutchinson, Noah Moon, Annabella Moon, Elijah Moon, Reid Hernquist, Olivia Hernquist and Robbie Dixon. He is also survived by his 5 children, 8 grandchildren, his former wife and their partners.
