He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ferris and Madeline Ferris; his granddaughter Breanna Ray; and his siblings, Terry and James Ferris.
He is survived by: his children, Amber Barcenas (Jose), Benjamin Ferris, Joshua Ferris (Alissa), Joseph Ferris (De'Quawon Coble) and Nathaniel Ferris; his grandchildren, Marcos Ray, Ilyanna Barcenas, Rosalyn Barcenas, Tiffany Ferris, Arianna Ferris, Haley Ferris and Joshua Ferris, Jr.; and his girlfriend Sarah Dawson.
