With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis William Spitzley of Ionia, Michigan, born in Portland, Michigan, who passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Spitzley and Katherine Spitzley (Shepard); his brother Frank Spitzley; and his in-laws, Barb Patrick, Shelva Smith, Jewel Ritenburg and Dorothy Risner.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Spitzley; his children, Julie Ackerson (Scott Ralston) of Ionia, Sherri Dixon (Tony) of Portland, Mark Spitzley (Alisha Keasey) of Ionia, Scott Cameron (Jamie) of Ionia and Doug Cameron of Wayland; his siblings, Larry Spitzley (Pam) of Ionia, Susan Hogan of Grand Rapids, Pat Reinhardt (Tom) of Ionia, Mary Walsh (Kevin) of Rockford and Phyllis Richardson (Dan) of Grand Rapids; and his in-laws, Don Patrick of Ionia, Lawrence Patrick (Shirley) of Clarksville and JoAnne Ervin of Ionia. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
