She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Holkema and Clara Holkema (Boer); her husband John C. Vaarberg; her sisters, Tena Koopmans and Adriana Miliusus; and her brothers-in-law, Harry Koopmans and Joseph Miliusis.

She is survived by: her children, William Vaarberg (Sherry), John Vaarberg, Cassidy Vaarberg, Maria Droste (Gregory), Jessica Anglin (Christopher), Seth Droste (Sandy) and Carla Schut (Louis).
