He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lorraine Derocher; his children, Joe Jr. McFarlane (Gwen) of Kansas and Lisa Stewart (David) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Justin McFarlane (Maria), Ryan Stewart (Haley) and Kaylee Stewart (Paul Rusinowski); his great grandchildren, Annabelle and Rylee; and his siblings, James McFarlane (Janice), Jane Dittenber, Jill Wilkins and Joy McFarlane.
