It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David VanderMeer of Interlochen, Michigan, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elinore Margeret (Sexton) and Abram William VanderMeer, Sr.; his brother Abram "Van" VanderMeer; and his son David "Davo" VanderMeer. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne VanderMeer (George); his brothers, Dan (Joan), Bob (Cathy) and James VanderMeer (Haley); his children, Gerritt VanderMeer (Carolann) and Gage VanderMeer (Beck Jolly); his daughter-in-law Kelly VanderMeer (Jeff Davis); and his grandchildren, Willem, Cooper, James and Frances.
