He was predeceased by: his wife Annette; and his siblings, Janie May Brown, Robert, Larry and Roger Bowden.

He is survived by: his children, Denise Bowden and Anthony Williams; his grandsons, Maurice, James, Gerald and DeAndre Richards; and his aunt Fannie Mays of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
