She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne Ellsworth Sutton and Mildred Dorothy Sutton (Darding); her husband William "Bill" Howe; her sister LouAnn Dennis (Wayne); and her nephew Mike Dennis (Cheryl).

She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Feagan (Michael) of Harbor Springs and Sarah Giffin (Jacob) of Petoskey; her grandchildren, Sydney, Cooper Feagan, Weston and Aiden Giffin; her brother Verne "Sandy" Sutton (Joanne); and her niece Jill Dennis.
