It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Muriel H. Pekrul of Indian River, Michigan, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Murray Hallgren and Glen Herbert Hallgren; her daughter Kathleen Pekrul Mullen; and her brother Glen Hallgren. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Pekrul of Lexington, KY, Lisa Lange (Kevin) of Clarkston, MI and Jayne Higginbotham (Keith) of Athens, AL; her son-in-law Mike Mullen of Huntersville, NC; her grandchildren, Beth Mullen Reilly (Justin), Elena Mullen, Olga Mullen, Ashley Padilla (Roger), Katelin Pekrul, Gretchen Hensler (Tom), Andrew Lange (Jessica), Jill Gravlee (Ben), Joseph Higginbotham (Amy) and Lauren Smith (William); and her brother Clifford Hallgren (Judy). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
