It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Smith of Indian River, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith (Jack) and Marie Smith (Lagalo); and his grandson Noah Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bassi; his children, Shannon Curtis (Andrew) of Saginaw, Anthony Smith (Brittany) of Quincy, Craig Smith (Courtney) of Columbus and Jory Smith (Jade) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Payton, Ava, Beau, Margot, Lucy, Frank, Maxwell and Emelia; and his siblings, John Smith (Jeanette), Robert Smith (Cheryl), Donald Smith (Janeen) and Teresann Sprague (Steve). He is also survived by brothers and sons.
