With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Helzerman of Indian River, Michigan, born in Willis, Michigan, who passed away on May 13, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur J. Helzerman and Anna Catherine Helzerman (Hodgkin); his wife Mary Ann O'Brien; his daughter Sharon Sykes; his siblings, Calvin, Arthur, Anna Gray and Margaret Stralnic; and his siblings-in-law, Al O'Brien, Harvey O'Brien, David Stralnic, Josephine Helzerman, Barbara Brender and Katie Smalley.
He is survived by: his daughters, JoAnne Arms (Richard), Darlene Helzerman of Milan and Barbara Sykes (Janet) of Florida; his granddaughters, Emily Arms, Lucy Middleton and Courtney Arms; his brothers, Lynwood Helzerman (Jean) and George Helzerman (Sandra) of Ypsilanti; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Gray of Beaverton and Nancy Helzerman of Barryton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
