He is survived by: his wife Sue Bye (Howard); his children, Matthew Bye and Amy Graham (Peter); his grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Conner Bye and Mya Bye; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou and Walter Wright. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
