He was predeceased by: his father Perry Oscar; and his siblings, Wilbur, James "Red", Paul, Gene, Rex, Irene, Homer and Sammie.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel; his children, Veleta Carpenter (Craig) and Alan Whitted (Juliana); his grandchildren, Nina Simon (Nick), Ashley Whitted and Nolan Whitted; and his brothers, Ben and Tom.
