He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard W. Barkenquast and Delores Barkenquast (Osemlak); his wife Diane Schlump; his daughters, Stacey Bohmer and Lori Breitner (Jeff); his grandchildren, Cameron, Madison, Emilee, Abigayle and Dylan; his son-in-law Jeff Bohmer; and his siblings, Michelle Stengel (Jim), Mark (Cesar), Greg, Ted (Melissa), John (Anne), Mike and Geary.
Due to Covid-19, all services are private, and a private burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marian Barkenquast.Memorial contributions can be made to The Ida Athletic Boosters or St. Gabriel Catholic Parish.
