Leonard Jay Swanson Obituary

Leonard Jay Swanson, age 60 of Ida, passed away in his home unexpectedly Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He was one of five children. Donald, Cindy, Tina, Mark, and Leonard were born from the union of Donald E. and Elaine M. (Burkholder) Swanson. Leonard grew up in Luna Pier and graduated from Erie Mason Consolidated. Leonard married Debra Hieshell in 1978 and had two children he leaves behind, Benjamin and Shannon Swanson.

He had two grandchildren, Kylie and Kayden. He was a long time supervisor for Automatic Handling and a great softball coach for Bedford, before finding his passion for horse training. During his years of training he met his long time best friends, Brian McDowell and Sherrie. Upon his wishes, he will be cremated before his final resting spot at the horse ranch.

He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in Peace.
