We bid farewell to Melva Lucille Karlis of Huntington Woods, Michigan, born in Doland, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 22, 2024 at the age of 95. Melva Lucille touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Hanson and Grace Hanson. She is survived by: her husband George Karlis of Hazel Park; her grandchildren, Mary Ann Ducharme (Dewey), Julie Kay Werling (Cory), Jason George Karlis (Karen) and Jacob; her daughter Deborah Sue Hudspeth (Michael); her grandsons, Graham and Ian Hudspeth; her great grandchild Lucas Hudspeth; and her siblings, Adella James (Chuck), Donald Hanson (Vivian) and Gerald Hanson (Peggy).
She was in Book Clubs for many years and transitioned to Zoom Book Clubs during the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington Woods Lutheran Church.
