“To the Schwarz family: please accept my condolences on Fred’s passing. He and Gerri were dear friends during the time I was in the WSU English department. (1984-89). It was tragic to lose her so young, but I was always glad to hear from Fred at the holidays. It would seem he did well right to the end, and for that I am thankful. I will miss his benevolent outlook and continued friendship over the years. Suzanne Ferguson”
