He is survived by: his friend Thomas Jay Schipper; his wife Luanne Schipper; his sons, Jason (Kimberly Schipper), Dirk Schipper and Joel (Nikki Van Dyke); his grandchildren, Levi, Jadelyn, Alaina, Jacob Schipper, Lucy Van Dyke, Oliver and River Krikke; his father-in-law Gordon Terpstra; his siblings, Jane Van Til (Rich), John Schipper (Lori), Pete Schipper (Pat) and Dan Schipper (Laura); and his siblings-in-law, Sue Looyenga, Val Terpstra, Todd Terpstra, Chuck Terpstra (Verna) and Jeff Terpstra (Kathy).
