Leona Mae Boerman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mae Boerman (Hudsonville, Michigan), who passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leona Mae Boerman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Veltema and Agnet Veltema; her husband Donald; her daughter Beverly Mac Brien; her siblings, Stuart, George Jr. Veltema (Jean), Marvin Veltema (Cornelia), Maxine and Evelyn Stursma (Ted); and her brother-in-law Warren Faber.

She is survived by: her sister Verna Faber; her son-in-law Paul Mac Brien; her children, Dan Boerman (Linda) and Gayle Poortenga (Phil); her brother-in-law Kenneth Ver Beek; and her grandchildren, Kyle Poortenga, Jon Poortenga, Kate Poortenga, Laura Griffin, Melissa Gentner, Josh Boerman, Tim Mac Brien, Joy Povich and Hope Staal. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
