He was predeceased by: his daughter Jan Swieringa; and his sisters, Audrey (Jack Knock), June (Adrian Vlietstra) and Yvonne (Jack Harris). He is survived by: his wife June; his children, Douglas, Timothy, Kimberly Hicks, Karen and Randy Young; his son-in-law John Swieringa; his grandchildren, Jason (Kristen Young), Tyler (Taylor Young), Samantha (Tyler Petersen), Courtney Hicks, Kelsey (Justin Roberts) and Alison Hicks; his great grandchildren, Graham, Jude and Silas Young; his brother Gordon (Judy Hicks); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Visserman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Calvary Church in memory of "Kenneth Hicks for the Benevolence Fund".
