He was predeceased by: his wife Alberta "Abby" Hoffman. He is survived by: his children, Patricia and Gary Matthysse; his grandchildren, Cameron DeVries (Anna), Jennifer Heyboer (Peter), Amber Eledge (Melvin), Jason Matthysse (Amber), Jennifer Shanklin (Patrick), Jeremy Matthysse (Andrea), Jamie and Samantha Matthysse; his children, Annie Bradley (Steven), Debra and Loren Redder; his grandchildren, Kalee Walters (Kyle) and Nicole Vos (Duncan); his children, Tim and Kathy Hoffman; his grandchildren, Troy Hoffman (Jessica) and Stacy Knoll (Chris); his children, Lisa and Randy Ledeboer; his grandchildren, Sarah Scott (Luke), Tyler Ledeboer (Kaycee) and Rebecca Little (Nathan); his children, Eric and Angie Hoffman; and his sister-in-law Julianna DeYoung. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds (https://www.crcg.org).
