With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Mayton (Hudsonville, Michigan), who passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Janet Stewart; and his daughter Leslie Kleiner. He is survived by: his wife Carol Mayton (Battjes); his children, Philip Mayton, Douglas Mayton, Jim Kleiner (Nichole), Teresa VanderLeest (Ed), Daena Vuyst (Chris), Mark Battjes (Cheri) and Ruth Altman (Brett); his grandchildren, Nicole White (Andrew), Morgan Mayton, Elizabeth Mayton, Hannah Pike (Brian), Alex Kleiner, Austin Kleiner, Colin Kleiner (Rylee), Sydney Kleiner, Rebecca VanderLeest, Sara VanderLeest, Anna Hulstein (Neal), Joshua Vuyst, Katie Harvey (Steve), Laura Huizinga (Dylan), Nicholas Battjes (Harle), Arianna Battjes, Halle Battjes, Saul Altman, Garrett Altman (Caitlyn), Keagan Altman and Cole J. Altman; his sister Sandy Whitehurst (Duayne); and his sisters-in-law, June Drenten and Lilarae Bush (Gene). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
