Carolyn Kay Hirdes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Kay Hirdes of Hudsonville, Michigan, who passed away on January 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Hirdes; her brothers, Tom Standish and Randy Standish; and her in-laws, Merrit Zwiers and Herm Hirdes.
She is survived by: her children, Kay (Tim Bauman), Angela (Curt Kitler), William (Kathy Hirdes), Diane (Wayne Kitler) and Matt (Jennifer Hirdes); her siblings, Loretta (Rich Savickas), Mary (Mike Tobin), Linda (Phil Agello) and Gene Standish; and her in-laws, Joanne, Maryann and Dave Wiersma. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the VanderLaan Funeral Home (4917 32nd Ave, Hudsonville, MI 49426). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hudsonville Christian School or Forest Grove Christian Reformed Church.
