He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Quist and Luella Quist; his siblings, Jay Quist and Harriet Quist; his parents-in-law, Aukie and Clara Bouma; his siblings-in-law, Wilma Quist, Pat Bouma, Cal Bouma, Erv Zeerip and Harv Bouma; his nephews, Brian Quist and Dave Bouma; his niece Terri Brinks; and his great-nephew Kyle Quist.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Quist; his children, Linda Miedema (Steve), Dave Quist (Vicki), Mary Miedema (Rick) and Steve Quist (Amy); his grandchildren, Chase Miedema, Becky Plantinga (Chris), Katelyn Fortney (Matt), Andy Miedema (Colleen), Alli Zuiderveen (Bryce), Autumn Wiersma (Luke), Nic Quist (Ally), Nicole Quist, Blair Miedema (Abbie), Megan Huizenga (Chris), Gavin Miedema (Telissa) and Matt Quist; his brother Ken Quist (Wanda); and his siblings-in-law, Annette Bouma, Esther Zeerip, Betty Bos (John), John Bouma (Joan), Harold Bouma (Ann) and Shirley Brinks. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Unity Christian High School or Hudsonville Christian School.
