He was predeceased by: his sons, Michael R. and George C. Bail; his sisters, Evelyn Adams and Barbara Turk; and his grandsons, Brian Michael and Gabriel Wayne Bail.

He is survived by: his daughter Betty Coles of Hudson; his sister Rosemary Borton (Pete) of Hudson; his daughters-in-law, Mary Bail of West Unity and Norma Bail of Clayton; and his wife Gloria.
