With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merton E. Deuel in Hudson, Michigan, born in Petoskey, Michigan, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merton E. Deuel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Deuel and Nelle Deuel (Walkup); his parents-in-law, Earl and Olive Ames; and his brother-in-law Alan Ames.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Lee Ames; his children, Terrie Mapes (Mark) of Onsted, Lynne Dutmers (William) of Muskegon and Robert Kole (Pam) of Niles; his grandchildren, Amanda Kendrick (Bryan), Bethany Lyons (Andy), Brian Dutmers (Kelcie), Greg Dutmers, Traci Akers (Randy) and Barry Kole (Heather); his nephew David Ames; and his nieces, Kathy DeFranco (Robert) and Kellie Ames.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date due to COVID 19.
