He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Topps and Elizabeth Topps (Salamin); his stepfather Russell; and his nephew Jerry Wayne Loveland. He is survived by: his wife Deborah A. Farquhar; his children, James "JJ" Topps (Amber) and Michelle Arnold; his grandchildren, Colin, Lizzy, Ashton Desgranges, Evan and Emma Topps; and his sister Sue Miton (Ted). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
