He was predeceased by: his father Clarence P. Spence; his wife Elaine A. Spence (Bodrie); his children, Renee Maree (George), Nanette Roberts (Rick), Angela (Steve Rogers), Howard Williams (Beth) and Thomas Spence (Melanie); his sister Sue Thompson Rust; his brother-in-law Dennis Bunch; his mother Marie Spence Thompson (Bond); his son Robert Williams; his son-in-law Erin Combs; his grandsons, Gregory Kalasz, Matthew Roberts and Christopher Williams; his great grandchildren, Harper and Raina Smith; and his siblings, Clarence, Alan, Russell, Edward Spence, Vernon "Buzz" Thompson and Kay Bunch. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great, grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lenawee Hills Memorial Park (1291 Wolf Creek Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
