He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence I. VanHouten and Margaret VanHouten (Peggie). He is survived by: his wife Lillian Allen; his children, Scott VanHouten and Dawn Ducett (John); his granddaughters, Natasha Ducett and Chevelle Kuhfeldt (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Farley Ducett, Johnny Bartos, Kolt and Levi Kuhfeldt.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel (315 N Michigan Ave, Howell, MI 48843). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family has asked for those wishing to remember him with a donation please do so by contributing to the "Howell Garden Club Youth Horticultural Scholarship Fund". Donations can be made out to "Howell Garden Club" and mailed to Mary McIsaac, 4010 Southwood Drive, Howell, MI 48843.
