He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Beres and Esther Beres (Luebke); and his siblings, Marge, Fran, Leona and Jim.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Humphrey; his family Larry; his children, Martha Stipsits (Mark), Michael Beres (Jennifer), Laura Bernard (David), Dennis Bowen (Becky) and David Bowen (Missy); and his sister Ruth Kern. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
