He was predeceased by: his parents, Sharon Zachmann, and John Zachmann, Sr. (Beepa); and his brother John F. Zachmann, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Elizabeth Wood (Michael), Johnathon Gabrielson, Jimmy Zachmann (Melanie) and Alex Zachmann (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklynn and Abigail; and his sister Jill Lindberg (Dan).

In lieu of flowers his family suggests donations to Breast Cancer Awareness.
